Exemption from Work Permit Requirements

The plan establishes that everyone who can work should work and contribute to become part of society, and requires labour market integration for foreign-born. The plan wants to shorten processing times for work permits so that it is faster to enter society and that those who come to Sweden quickly become part of social life. A requirement for a certain length of residence before the exemption from work permits applies delays precisely this, and the counter-proposal's requirement that the exemption applies earlier follows from the plan's integration line. The plan also wants measures against exploitation of foreign labour.

The election manifesto requires those receiving residence permission to be rapidly integrated and given opportunity to support themselves, and the party programme establishes that it is not borders that should be closed but the labour market that should be opened. A requirement for certain time of residence before the exemption from work permit applies delays precisely that establishment. The plan wants instead to create more doors into the labour market.
