The election manifesto states that welfare must cover everyone who lives in the country and that it is not through time-limited residence permits that integration improves, but through a secure existence. The party programme wants everyone to have practical opportunities to work and live on the same secure conditions as others. That people with protection under the mass displacement directive be given the same social benefits, for example the right to educational support, follows from these commitments.

The plan states that those who receive protection shall be welcomed and given the opportunity to establish themselves in Sweden, and that the reception shall be generous and equal. The election manifesto establishes that access to the social security system and Swedish welfare should be more closely linked to citizenship and work, and that the threshold for accessing tax-financed welfare should be raised. Giving people with protection under the Temporary Protection Directive the same social benefits as other persons in need of protection, for example the right to study support, directly contradicts that commitment.
