The election manifesto's overarching commitment is that the police shall have more tools and that society's full force shall be mobilized against the criminal. Rejecting the bill in its entirety, and thus retaining the approval requirement and fewer surveillance spaces, goes against this. The party programme's requirement to protect personal privacy motivates legal certainty guarantees such as documented interest balancing, not total rejection.

The plan opposes all laws that constitute disproportionate interference with privacy and states that crime prevention must not occur at the expense of human rights.
