Human trafficking and human exploitation

The plan establishes that the trade in women's bodies through sexual purchasing and human trafficking must cease and wants to prevent patriarchal violence through targeted work against its various forms. It requires action against abuse of women and children and wants to prevent children from being drawn into criminal networks. Strengthened work against human trafficking, respected thinking time for crime victims and a strengthened children's rights perspective follows from that.

The plan requires close international cooperation against transnational crime, explicitly including trafficking in human beings, and offensive action against exploitation of children and young people. Strengthening legislation, follow-up and the position of crime victims against trafficking for sexual purposes follows directly from this and from the action against sexual crimes. The plan explicitly establishes that human trafficking shall be combated with the same force as other serious crime and that sexual exploitation shall cease. The party programme states that the party wants to see a society free from domestic violence, human trafficking and prostitution, and the election manifesto requires a strengthened victim perspective with reparation and better support for the victim. That victims are arrested and deported in violation of the rules on reflection periods goes against both commitments. The plan also wants to prevent children from being recruited into criminal networks.

The plan makes human trafficking a priority area in crime prevention and requires EU cooperation to forcefully combat sexualized human trafficking of women and children.
