The counter-proposal wants to lower the fee for the person who does not reach prescribed blending and push down the price at pump, which directly contradicts the plan's principle that what is bad for the environment shall be expensive and that fossil subsidies shall be phased out. The plan's answer to fuel dependence is electrification and that only fossil-free cars are sold from 2025, not cheaper liquid fuel. The election manifesto explicitly requires that the tax on biofuels blended into petrol and diesel be lowered maximally, and that the production of biofuels and biogas be multiplied to strengthen energy independence. The election manifesto's commitment is to reduce petrol and diesel prices considerably, and explicitly primarily by reducing the mixing of expensive biofuel. The counter-proposal instead wants to switch to a diesel standard that tolerates higher biofuel blending and reach an agreement on powerful expansion of domestic biofuel production, thus more biofuel in the system. The plan's chosen instrument is opposite, which is why it speaks against the counter-proposal's core. The party programme's statement about domestic production being stimulated points admittedly in the other direction, but the election manifesto carries more weight.
