Arlanda, Bromma and Skavsta airports

The election manifesto's commitment is that aviation infrastructure shall function throughout the country and that airports shall be ready when electric aviation develops, not that capacity is dismantled prematurely. Premature closure of Bromma reduces the capacity that holds the country together and therefore does not receive support from the plan. The plan's willingness that sufficient housing is built weighs less than the commitment to communications throughout the country.

The plan says nothing about Bromma or Arlanda. The closest commitments are that too few homes are being built and that more new homes are needed, and that more flights should be made fossil-free, which argues for freeing up the land and consolidating flying. The plan explicitly affirms the transition of aviation and wants to expand Arlanda to the Nordic region's leading airport, but it is based on infrastructure throughout the country being strengthened – not on capacity being wound down prematurely. Closing Bromma before Arlanda is expanded reduces accessibility for business. The housing argument weighs less since the plan wants to increase construction in other ways, among other things through abolished shoreline protection and simpler building plans.
