Hunting on public water and in Sweden's economic zone

Refraining from removing the permit requirement for hunting in public waters and opening up for commercial hunting in the economic zone lies closest to that principle.

The plan protects free movement within European cooperation and wants to reduce regulatory burden, which argues for replacing permit requirement with notification and opening hunting also to EU and EEA citizens. The party programme sees hunting and wildlife management as applied stewardship and wants the public sector to actively provide landless hunters access to hunting on publicly owned land. To replace the permit requirement on public water with a notification keeps the state's overview while doing just that. Opening hunting also to foreign EU and EEA citizens aligns poorly with the plan's demand for reduced EU influence over Swedish hunting.
