Requirements for Full-Time Employment

The plan's line is that more skilled people shall be drawn to work-related immigration, that it shall become easier to get a permit and that competence deportations shall cease. A general requirement for full-time employment for a residence permit for work would on the contrary narrow work-related immigration. The plan wishes to address misuse of the system, but directs it towards undeclared work rather than towards employment rate in itself.

The counter-proposal wants a requirement for full-time employment to be considered for residence permits for work, since part-time needs can reasonably be met without labor immigration. The counter-proposal wants labour migration not to be granted for part-time positions and that a requirement for full-time employment be considered. The plan requires that labour migration to occupations that can be supplied by domestic labour be stopped and that proper labour market testing be introduced, since work requiring low demands should be able to be performed by the unemployed already in Sweden.
