The counter-proposal opposes precisely such a reduction and wants instead fuel-cell car support and public transport subsidies, a model the plan explicitly criticizes as distributionally wrong. Valmanifestet kräver uttryckligen sänkt bensin- och dieselpris genom sänkt bränsleskatt och pekar ut sänkt drivmedelsskatt som vägen till lägre pris vid pump. Motförslaget motsätter sig just en sådan sänkning och vill i stället ha elbilsstöd och kollektivtrafiksubventioner, en modell planen uttryckligen kritiserar som fördelningspolitiskt fel. Planen talar därför emot motförslagets krav.
