Phasing out environmentally harmful subsidies

The plan establishes that the climate policy framework remains fixed and that the principle that the polluter pays shall be applied in full, with Sweden as a fossil-free welfare nation by 2045. The election manifesto promises cost reductions for agriculture to strengthen self-sufficiency and competitiveness and that fuel prices shall be cut substantially. An action plan to phase out remaining reductions, such as agricultural diesel, directly contradicts this and affects those dependent on cars to live and work throughout the country.
